PUBLIC NOTIFICATION – MONITORING VIOLATION OF THE WATER TESTING SCHEDULE
Our water system violated a drinking water standard(s) over the past year. Even though these were not emergencies, as our customers, you have a right to know what happened and we did to correct these situations.  We, the City of Soldier Public Water Supply are required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not our drinking water meets health standards.  During, April, we did not monitor or test 1 sample for coliform bacteria and therefore cannot be sure of the quality of our drinking water during that time.
What should I do?
There is nothing you need to do.
What happened? What is being done?
We were under a water boil advisory and assumed the water boil advisory required tests would suffice for the regular monthly test as well.  Moving forward, we will submit a regular monthly test even if we are submitting tests under a water boil advisory.  For more information, please contact the City Hall (712) 884-2266.
